Presentation

Formerly a dilapidated old village house, l'Atelier des Artistes is an unusual venue designed to welcome artists during their creative process, during which they can share their emotions with the public at every encounter.
Valérie Leydet: A visual artist based in the south of France, Valérie Leydet explores modest materials: recycled textiles, wire mesh, cardboard, paper, threads of all kinds... on which she inscribes a new abstract and intimate grammar.

Arlette Verriere: Arlette Bouygue Verriere's painting is rooted in the memory of her emotions: with them, she introduces a held mystery, an imagination of multiple paths taken with a great sense of freedom. The figurative remains, even if it tends towards abstraction.
"The magic of pigments, the confrontation of colors, the elaboration of backgrounds offer me new avenues where transformed reality can be explored and blossom.

Laurent Segura: A lifelong enthusiast of art in all its forms, this artist-painter from Toulon really began painting in the spring of 2020, during his first confinement. This self-taught artist mastered the techniques of oil painting, using brushes and spatulas on large-format canvases. His highly colorful works strike the viewer with their vibrant energy.

Thierry Spada: Thierry Spada is a professional visual artist who works mainly with original posters, which he deconstructs to reappropriate communication codes. In Sanary-sur-Mer, in the artists' studio, he tears, cuts and glues, drawing inspiration from collagists such as Jacques Villeglé and Mimmo Rotella, and great masters like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.

Claire Korini : Claire Korini began painting at the age of 18. She soon turned to silver-based photography, which became her preferred medium. After several commissions, notably for concert photography, she decided to rediscover her artistic freedom. In 2022, following photography workshops at the Beaux-Arts, she discovered alternative processes for combining painting and photography, and sought to develop her technique.

Sophie Mattio: Geometric compositions and landscapes, colors, ochres and natural gray pigments are the codes and themes that give rhythm to Sophie Mattio's painting. Drawing is the basis of her work, a legacy of her training at the Marseille School of Architecture in the 70s and 80s. Provence, the land of her birth, trees, nature and the sea are the subjects of her paintings, which are in turn the dream of a new journey.
