This endearing little village, tucked away in the green Vallé de l'Issole, prospered in the late 19th century thanks to its Bauxite mines; the village's bauxite museum pays tribute to this fascinating story and to the ancient miners, nicknamed the "Red Faces". Cabasse abounds with shady squares and ancient history, including a 16th-century church, chapels, dolmens and menhirs… Fishing lovers will love Carcès lake. And walkers and mountain bike lovers will appreciate the miles of footpaths and mountain bike tracks.
