Set underneath a massive old castle, the little village of Esparron clings to a hillside. The original layout of this "Village of Character", with its lanes dating back several hundred years, has remained untouched.
Esparron is still marked by the passage of Charles d’Arcussia, its 17th-century Lord, author of a world-famed falconry treaty. Falconry is still celebrated in the village today and visitors can enjoy various falcon hunting demonstrations.
