The Sainte-Croix lake is the 2nd largest artificial lake of France (22 square kilometres). The dam of Sainte-Croix was officially inaugurated in 1975. It contributes to supply a great part of the area (Marseille, Toulon...) with electricity and drinking water.
On Aiguines area, fitted beaches will allow you to enjoy swimming in emerald green water of the lake, in an absolute calm (motor boats are forbidden).
Nautical rentals are available to enable you to discover this magical and protected site ( internal combustion engines are forbidden) on a route accessible to all, so that you can discover the spectacular sites of the Grand Canyon at your own pace.
Dogs are allowed on the beach and must be leashed.
A first-aid post is opened in July and August here and provides the Galetas beach with supervised bathing from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Please note! Dogs are not allowed in this area.).
