Located in the heart of the city of Toulon and built at the beginning of the 20th century, this former seat of the sub-prefecture, which became the Hôtel de la Présidence du Conseil général du Var, now houses an art centre.
The building dates from 1898. Former Hôtel de Sous-Préfecture, designed by departmental architect Jules Roustan.
It became the Hôtel des Arts in 1979.
New modern facade was colored by artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet in 2020 - 2021.
