Built on a rocky spur, Pourrières comprises the last lookout post on the southeastern section of Sainte Victoire mountain.
This village is famous for the battle won by the Roman General Gaius Marius against the Teutons and Ambrons in 102 BC. Today, it offers visitors a delicious taste of Provencal lifestyle, with a host of succulent local produce including wines, honey, olive oil and melons!
