The Haut-Var Olympics

Our aim is to create a fun, sporting event that will enable pupils from schools in the Haut-Var to forge links with each other while developing mutual aid and solidarity.

The event will bring together 189 pupils from the five schools in Aiguines, Bauduen, Les Salles sur Verdon, Tourtour and Villecroze, along with more than 40 supervisors (PEs, ATSEMs, parents, etc.) to share in a major sporting event.
For the second year running, the five schools of Aiguines, Bauduen, Les Salles sur Verdon, Tourtour and Villecroze are getting together to organise the Haut-Var Olympics, which will take place on Tuesday 6 May 2025 in Villecroze.
The pupils (190 in all) will be divided into 8 countries (teams). These 8 teams will be divided into 3 sub-teams according to the school cycle from nursery section to cm2. Each team will take part in 4 sporting events (running, throwing, team games, wrestling, etc.). All these events will earn points for their country. The day will begin and end with two ceremonies. An opening ceremony with the presentation of the 8 countries and a closing ceremony with the presentation of medals... This day is above all an opportunity for everyone to share a good time in a festive and fraternal atmosphere. It is also an opportunity to forge links between the children, teachers and parents of the Haut-Var.
