68 towns have been awarded the "Villes et Villages fleuris" (Towns and Villages in Bloom) label 💐
You're all familiar with the little "ville fleurie" sign at the entrance to towns and villages. The towns and villages in bloom competition rewards communes for flowering in their public spaces. The Mediterranean climate of the Var allows the many species of flowers, trees and shrubs to bloom and develop for you to come and admire. In the Var, 68 communes have been awarded the label!
Each year, exceptional prizes known as the "fleur d'or" are awarded in recognition of the commitments made. Four prizes have been awarded in the Var: Bormes-les-Mimosas, Hyères, Le Lavandou and Sanary-sur-Mer.
