In the heart of a wild and grandiose natural setting, Aiguines guards access to the Gorges du Verdon like a motionless lookout. Adorned with polychrome tiles, the pepper-pot turrets of Aiguines castle elegantly signal the presence of this perched village, clinging to the side of the mountain.
From the foot of the chapel of St-Pierre, which dominates the village, you can see far and wide: from Lac de Ste-Croix to the Valensole plateau and even Mont Ventoux.
