In the Var, there are all kinds of human-sized structures that are bursting with imagination to offer you maximum thrills.
Whether you’re on a merry-go-round, climbing to the top of a mountain or racing a go-kart at high speed, some leisure activities offer intense sensations that will thrill you, your family or your friends. Do you prefer gentler activities, closer to nature or accessible to all ages? Here again, the Var is full of fun activities that will give you unique moments to enjoy all year round.
Adventure parks
Tree climbing parks
As the second most wooded destination in France, it's only natural that the Var should be offering an escape between the peaks. Thrill-seekers and outdoor enthusiasts will have a field day! These suspended courses in the trees, with zip-lines, monkey bridges and nets to defy the laws of gravity, are accessible all year round, weather permitting. Visitors can try their hand at different levels of difficulty, from beginners to the more experienced looking for a challenge. Some leisure parks have even created real worlds of fun for the whole family to discover, including the Forêt des 4 mondes in La Seyne-sur-Mer and Aoubré, l'Aventure Nature in Flassans-sur-Issole.
Trampoline, accro bungy, karting...
As well as accrobranche, some parks invite visitors to try other thrilling activities such as trampolining or acro-bungy for vertiginous jumps in the air. In Le Castellet, get your fill of thrills at the Xtrem Park, with its amazing Airvertical free-fall simulator. Another activity for adrenalin junkies: go-karting. Thrills are guaranteed, because even if the kart does not exceed 50km/h, the driver's position close to the ground gives an impression of great speed. If the weather doesn't allow you to enjoy these outdoor activities, don't panic: several Trampoline Parks, such as those at La Garde, La Valette-du-Var and La Seyne-sur-Mer, welcome you to large indoor spaces where young and old alike can defy gravity.

Fun attractions
Funfairs have no equal when it comes to thrills and chills! The most daring will feel as if they've been dropped into the void, thrown into the sky, sent hurtling through the scenery or crushed to the ground... Others will prefer to take on the bumper cars or try to win that huge teddy bear on the shooting range. The very special atmosphere of these real worlds is best enjoyed in fine weather. Most open from May to early September, including Lunapark in Fréjus, Magic World in Hyères-les-Palmiers and the Azur Park theme park in Gassin. Lunaparks can be found all over the world, and Fréjus is one of the largest.

Attractions for quieter visitors
Not a fan of thrills or speed? Are you looking for a family activity that lets you rise to the challenge without necessarily finding yourself 30 metres off the ground? Think mini-golf! There are several courses to choose from, dotted with little waterfalls in the heart of a lush garden, such as the Exotique mini-golf course in Le Lavandou, or the La Palmeraie mini-golf course in Cogolin, for a complete change of scenery. Many leisure parks also have mini-golf courses for younger children.
