Refreshment and relaxation: a world of diversity for everyone's enjoyment

Although water parks and leisure centres are synonymous with fun, it is important to differentiate between them. Water parks focus mainly on water attractions such as slides, wave pools and artificial rivers. Their main purpose is to provide water-based entertainment. The best known are the parks in the Aqualand chain, located in Fréjus, Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer and Sainte-Maxime. The latter offers a wider range of recreational activities (cycling, fishing, tennis, etc.) and is often located in a larger area such as lakes, forests or green spaces. A leisure centre often includes both land-based and water-based activities.

Wherever the festivities take place, there will be plenty of entertainment and fun to be had. Whether you opt for a stroll, a beach day or a picnic with your friends and family, each location offers its own enriching activities. Variety and fun in all 4 corners of the Var!

Relaxation, thrills, prices... Places for everyone

Our suggestions for water parks :

  • Three Aqualand parks in the Var :
    • Fréjus, the largest water park on the Côte d'Azur, with 19 attractions spread over more than 7 hectares
    • Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, close to the A50 motorway (exit 10), has everything you need for a relaxing day out, in a green and intimate setting
    • Sainte-Maxime, away from the town centre and the coast on the road to Le Muy, wave pools, waterslides and a river with a bubble bath await visitors for a great day's entertainment
  • Aqua Family in Hyères-les-Palmiers: right next to Kiddy Parc, this water park is perfect for a refreshing day out, with slides, paddling pools, inflatable structures and play areas.
  • Okwide Eco-beach in Montauroux offers a friendly, eco-responsible break. Relaxation, traditional cuisine and respect for the environment are the watchwords on the shores of Lake Saint-Cassien

Our suggestions for leisure centres:

More numerous and more varied than the water parks, they are - most of the time - more affordable. From Hyères to Puget-sur-Argens, via the banks of the Argens, these places provide thrills for the bravest and relaxation in an exceptional natural setting.

  • Aquavillage in Hyères-les-Palmiers. Accessible to children aged 6 and over, this park offers a fun trail with pyramids, slides, blob-jump balance games and other fun activities.
  • Waterworld at Puget-sur-Argens. On the Lac de la Gaudrade, not far from the RN7, this "inflatable water park" covers 3,000 m² and offers a fun water course for children and adults. Xtrem Tower, climbing wall and 9-metre jump await the bravest!
  • Drop-in Dracénie in Vidauban. At the Dracénie Provence leisure park, you'll find a water course with 100 modules, a 500 m² trampoline area and a water jump with 18 slopes for all levels.
  • Water Glisse Passion in Roquebrune-sur-Argens. Here, a change of scenery is guaranteed. On the Aréna lake, there are 3 levels of water sports and a giant slide, as well as water skiing and wakeboarding with the legendary Roquebrune rock as a backdrop. Kayaking and paddle boarding are also available nearby, along several kilometres of the Argens river.
