The Var is the ideal place for coastal sailing. Coves, beaches, islands and shelters offer landscapes as varied as they are admirable!
The escape begins as soon as you climb aboard your yacht for a weekend on the waters of the Var. There are so many options, all of them enchanting! From east to west along the Var coast, we can recommend a few tours with unforgettable memories:
- The red rocks of l'Estérel falling into the turquoise water. Stop-offs not to be missed: Agay, Le Dramont, the Golden Island - which Hergé is said to have referred to when illustrating and writing his "Black Island". A stopover in Saint-Raphaël at the Port Santa-Lucia is an interesting way to organise a trip into town!
- The Saint-Tropez peninsula with its beaches and capes - Camarat, Taillat and Lardier - all 3 of undisputed beauty. Magnificent views of the inland peaks and sumptuous properties!
- The "wild" coast from Le Rayol-Canadel to Bormes-les-Mimosas, via Cap Nègre and Cap Bénat with views of the Hyères islands. This is one of the most natural and exotic parts of the Var coast. Along the way, you'll also have the chance to see the not-to-be-missed Brégançon fort!
The islands of Hyères - Le Levant, Port-Cros and Porquerolles - heart of the Port-Cros National Park: we recommend sailing in the off-season (May/June and September/October or even November) to make the most of this exceptional archipelago, which forms the southernmost tip of Provence (same latitude as Cap Corse). Porquerolles and Port-Cros are surrounded by forts dating from the Vauban era, a reminder of the strategic importance of these islands during the conquests of the sea and territory.
